Decorative clay tile making

Service Description

Participants will be guided using templates to create a clay tile based upon William Morris or other creative designs. More than one piece can be carved to create either a small frieze or individual pieces. The process will be carefully demonstrated in stages to produce the finished carved outcome by the end of the morning. The afternoon will be taken up by painting and decorating the finished pieces. Once dry, your work will be fired and then clear glazed by the host ready for collection (by arrangement)approximately four weeks after the course. The finished pieces will make ideal and colourful presents or a nice addition to your table or wall if mounted.
