Pottery Wheel Throwing | Taster

Service Description

The 2-hr taster course is designed for beginners to try pottery throwing on the wheel for the first time. During the course you will learn how to centre, open, and lift the walls of the clay. You will also be shown how to work with various tools to finish your pots. At the end of the class, you should have one completed piece of work, though it is typical to have created more. Your pots will be fired and you will be invited back to glaze and decorate them in the colour(s) of your choice, then fired again. Final product pickup is usually within two months, varying on conditions. Arrangements will be made via email. Class size is limited to 6 people, each with a dedicated potters' wheel. Price includes all materials, glazes, and firings. We do provide aprons but you are welcome to bring your own. Please wear appropriate clothing and remove any hand/wrist jewellry as it is messy. Please bring your own refreshments.
